One country.Done properly.
We're not a general travel agency that also "does America". The USA is all we do — and that obsession is your advantage.
It started with a dodgy motel,a perfect slice of pie, and therealisation that Kiwis deserveda better way to see the States.
Uncle Sam Travel was born in Auckland out of one too many trips planned the hard way. After years of crossing the Pacific — for work, for sport, for the sheer joy of an American highway — we became the friends everyone called before they booked.
So we made it official. Today we're a small, NZ-owned team of USA specialists who travel the country constantly, testing routes, hotels and diners so your itinerary comes pre-loaded with first-hand knowledge — not brochure filler.
We plan every trip like it's our own: honest advice, realistic pacing, and the little bookings that make a big difference.

How we work
First-hand or nothing
If we recommend a motel, a viewpoint or a barbecue joint, one of us has slept there, stood there or eaten there. No exceptions.
Honest over easy
If your timeline is too tight or a "must-see" is a tourist trap, we'll tell you straight — and show you the better option.
Details are the trip
City passes, seat maps, driving distances, where to watch the sunset — the small stuff is where good trips become great ones.
Kiwis on your side
Same time zone, same sense of humour, same expectations. And if something goes sideways mid-trip, you call us — not a call centre.
Meet the crew
A small team on purpose. When you call, you'll know exactly who you're talking to.

Maree O'Connell
Travel Designer · Family & EventsTheme-park strategist and ticket whisperer. If there's a seat worth having, Maree knows how to get it — and what to do the day after.
Word of mouth
Uncle Sam Travel didn't just book our holiday — they read our minds. Three weeks, nine states, and every day felt designed by a mate who knew exactly what we'd love.
The detail was unreal — city passes pre-booked, driving days paced perfectly, and a note in the itinerary telling us which side of the plane to sit on for the Grand Canyon flyover.
When our flight got cancelled mid-trip, one text to the crew and we were rebooked, re-routed and still made the ballgame. That's why you use a specialist.
